Fredd Wilsgård resigns as CEO of Wilsgård Fiskeoppdrett.

Fredd Wilsgård has stepped down as CEO of Wilsgård Fiskeoppdrett after 35 years in the role, following the company’s merger with salmon farming giant SalMar. The news was first reported by Folkebladet.

Wilsgård, who has been with the company for 37 years, cited the structural changes following the merger as the reason for his departure.

“With the merger between Wilsgård and SalMar, I am no longer an owner, and I have been removed from board positions. This decision has not been easy, but it is the right one,” Wilsgård told Folkebladet, as reported by Nord24.

Wilsgård AS consists of 12 companies involved in aquaculture and related businesses. Further details regarding leadership succession have not yet been announced.
