Leadership change at AquaCloud as Kristian Blom steps down.
Kristian Blom has stepped down as managing director of AquaCloud, the seafood data-sharing and standardisation platform. In a statement released Monday, the company thanked Blom for his contribution to building AquaCloud into what it described as a “central player” in the digitalisation of the seafood industry.
To ensure continuity, Trude Jansen Hagland, CEO of NCE Seafood Innovation, will take over as interim managing director.
“AquaCloud is a key platform for the data-driven seafood industry of the future,” said Hagland. “I look forward to helping maintain our momentum and deliver on our ambitions.”
AquaCloud operates under the umbrella of NCE Seafood Innovation, a Norwegian industry cluster focused on accelerating digital tools and sustainability in aquaculture. Hagland brings extensive experience in product development and sectoral collaboration, which the board says will support the platform through its next phase.
“We are grateful for what Kristian has achieved at AquaCloud and have full confidence that Trude will lead the company securely through this transition,” said Siri Stenersen Lohne, chair of NCE Seafood Innovation. “Her insight and leadership are significant assets for both AquaCloud and the cluster.”
