Skretting publishes 2024 Impact Report and launches ACT sustainability platform.

Skretting has released its 2024 Impact Report, outlining progress on emissions, antibiotic use, and responsible sourcing, while launching a new sustainability value proposition under the name “ACT.”

The report details a 34.9% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 10.2% reduction in Scope 3, compared to 2018 levels. The company also cut the average carbon footprint per tonne of feed by 26%. Antibiotics were present in 1.4% of total feed volume, down from 1.6% in 2023. Use of certified marine ingredients increased to 85%.

Seven Skretting factories have now received ASC Feed Certification. A new “Novel Ingredient Matrix” was also introduced to assess alternative sources of EPA and DHA.

The ACT framework—standing for Action, Connection and Transparency—is intended to support collaboration across the value chain.

Skretting is a division of Nutreco and operates production facilities in 18 countries. In 2024, it contributed to an estimated 24 million seafood meals per day.
