Evgenia Kozlova steps down from First Seafood after rapid growth phase.

Evgenia Kozlova has confirmed her departure from First Seafood, marking the end of a two-year period of rapid expansion at the Norwegian seafood company.

“When I joined the company, we were just five passionate professionals with a big desire to succeed. In just two years, we grew into a team of nearly 200, built three state-of-the-art factories, and expanded our customer base across multiple markets,” Kozlova said in an announcement on LinkedIn.

Kozlova, who has worked in the seafood industry for more than a decade, plans to remain in the sector following a break.

“During my resignation period over the past three months, I’ve had time to pause, reflect—and realize how deeply my heart beats for the seafood industry, especially the salmon sector,” she added.

A specialist in seafood market intelligence, Kozlova cited the industry’s growing complexity, globalisation, and adoption of technologies such as robotics, AI, and laser-based processing as areas of continued interest.

She has not yet announced her next role.
