Gigante Salmon completes first harvest from autumn 2024 generation.
Gigante Salmon has completed its first commercial harvest, reporting a total volume of 345 tonnes head-on gutted from its Generation Autumn 2024 stock.
In an operational update published on 8 January, the land-based salmon farmer said the harvested fish had an average weight of 3.0 kg HOG, with a superior quality share of 94 percent. The economic feed conversion ratio was reported at 1.04.
By the end of the fourth quarter, Gigante Salmon had a total standing biomass of around 3,000 tonnes. Generation Autumn 2024 accounted for 2,030 tonnes of this biomass, with an average weight of 3.2 kg. Further harvests from this generation are planned from the first to the second quarter of 2026.
Generation Autumn 2025 represented the remaining 970 tonnes of biomass at quarter-end, with an average weight of 0.4 kg. Harvest from this group is planned from the fourth quarter of 2026 through to the second quarter of 2027. The company said it plans to release a total of 3.3 million smolt during autumn 2026.
Gigante Salmon is developing a land-based production facility at Lille Indre Rosøy in Rødøy, northern Norway. Its production concept is based on a flow-through system, which the company says combines elements of conventional and land-based aquaculture.
The company’s full fourth-quarter report will be published on 20 January 2026 at 07:00 CET, followed by a management presentation in Norwegian at Oslo Børs later the same morning. The disclosure is made pursuant to section 5-12 of the Norwegian Securities Trading Act.
