The Norwegian-Icelandic aquaculture equipment group ELDI has entered the Chilean salmon market with two new technologies aimed at reducing sea lice pressure.

ELDI was formed in early 2026 through the merger of Vónin Aquaculture, Mørenot Aquaculture, and Fiizk Protection, all owned by Hampiðjan Group.

The launch coincides with the AquaSur exhibition in Puerto Montt from March 24–26.

The first system, Marwall, combines deep skirting with hydrotube units that pump water from around 25 metres depth to the surface, circulating and oxygenating water to reduce infestations of Caligus rogercresseyi without chemical treatment.

The second, Bio Seize, is a deep cone-shaped net designed to collect faeces and organic waste and transport it to the surface using low-energy suction.

Sales manager Ole T. Matre said the systems could reduce lice treatments per production cycle by 60–70%. Chilean farms typically conduct eight to twelve treatments per cycle.
