Land-based salmon farmer Salmon Evolution harvested 1,765 tonnes head-on gutted (HOG) salmon in the first quarter of 2026, in line with company guidance.

The fish achieved an all-in price realisation of around NOK 84 per kilo, the company said in an operational update.

Biomass growth during the quarter was affected by an adaptation period following the introduction of new feed and adjustments to operating protocols. Salmon Evolution said growth rates improved after the changes were implemented, describing the development as a “step-change” in performance.

The company said the measures put in place during the quarter are expected to support stronger biomass growth in the coming periods, with the impact likely to be reflected in harvest volumes and fish weights during the second half of 2026.

Salmon Evolution also confirmed that the first smolt for phase two of its production facility is scheduled to be stocked in less than 14 days.

The company operates its land-based salmon facility at Indre Harøy on Norway’s west coast and is listed on the Oslo Børs under the ticker SALME.
