Norway-based aquaculture supplier Redox has agreed to acquire Filtra, a provider of water and air purification systems for the aquaculture, maritime and industrial sectors.

Redox said the acquisition would strengthen its water treatment capabilities and broaden its filtration and purification offering for fish farming customers.

Filtra, headquartered in Skodje in western Norway, supplies UV disinfection systems, filtration products, reverse osmosis systems and chemical dosing solutions. The company reported revenues of around NOK 37 million (€3.4 million) in 2025.

Founder and managing director Osvald Ringstad, who established Filtra in 2006, will remain with the company until September before continuing in a consultancy role.

Filtra will continue operating as a separate company with its existing headquarters and nine employees.

Redox, which supplies oxygen and water treatment systems to the aquaculture industry, said one aim of the acquisition is to expand Filtra’s service footprint along the Norwegian coast.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Seafood investment firm Bluefront Equity is the majority owner of Redox.
