Prices slip to EUR 6.49 as supply growth weighs on the market.

Norwegian salmon spot prices are expected to average EUR 6.49/kg (USD 7.57/kg) in Week 23, down around EUR 0.19/kg from the previous week, according to analyst estimates.

The decline marks a continuation of softer pricing, with quarter-to-date levels running well below earlier consensus expectations.

Analysts note that a sharp rebound through June appears unlikely given strong biological growth conditions currently observed at sea.

Week 21 Norwegian export volumes increased 6% year on year to approximately 32,200 tonnes. The rolling four-week Norwegian export value in EUR is up 16.7% year on year, suggesting that higher volumes and still-elevated prices compared to historical norms continue to support export revenues.

However, quarter-to-date spot prices remain meaningfully below consensus, pointing to downside risk for near-term earnings estimates across the sector.

Growth conditions in Norwegian waters remain strong, which supports near-term harvest volumes but also contributes to the current price softness.
