Remora Robotics raises NOK 164 million to accelerate autonomous aquaculture systems.
Remora Robotics has raised NOK 164 million (€15 million / $16.2 million) in growth capital to expand the development and deployment of its autonomous aquaculture technology.
The Norwegian company, which specialises in underwater robots for net cleaning and real-time fish health monitoring, announced the funding via LinkedIn. The investment round was led by existing backers including Singularity, Grieg Kapital, Momentum, and Frøy Kapital, with Hatch Blue joining as a new investor.
“This isn’t just about scale,” wrote co-founder Brage C. Amundsen. “It’s about momentum toward a new standard in aquaculture — where autonomous technology and AI are core to how we care for the ocean and the life within it.”
Remora’s platform offers continuous net cleaning, autonomous inspection, and AI-powered insight to reduce biological risk and improve biosecurity in fish farming operations. The company says the funding will support further development of its systems and help meet growing demand from major aquaculture producers.
