Appointment of the experienced engineer coincides with the launch of SORTpro.
Aquaticode, a group developing artificial intelligence systems to sort salmon, has announced the promotion of Adriana Carolina Castellano Cárdenas to the role of country manager for Chile.
In her new position, Castellano will lead the company’s operations and expansion efforts in Chile, a key market for Aquaticode. Her appointment coincides with the launch of SORTpro, Aquaticode’s AI-based solution for salmon sorting, which is expected to further boost the company’s footprint in the aquaculture sector.
“We are excited about the wealth of experience and vision she brings to her new role, and we look forward to her continued contributions as we build an organizational structure capable of effectively rolling out and implementing SORTpro in the Chilean market,” wrote the company in a post on LinkedIn.
Aquaticode is part of Nacre Capital, a venture capital firm whose portfolio also includes AI-based embryo-selection system Fairtility. Investors in the company include former Cargill director Einar Wathne and former Biomar CEO Torben Svejgaard.
