Eidsfjord Sjøfarm has purchased an AC600PV feed raft with a flat roof – tailored to the company’s toughest locations.
Equipment supplier AKVA group has sold €10 million worth of feed barges in the past month. As well as three new model AM5-Series feed rafts sold to an unnamed customer, Salmon farmer Eidsfjord Sjøfarm has purchased an AC600PV feed raft with a flat roof – tailored to the company’s toughest locations.
This is Eidsfjord Sjøfarm’s fifth AC600PV feed raft with v-bottom from AKVA group. The feed storage capacity is 600 tonnes, and the eight feeding lines can be placed both in the bow or out on the port side.
“We are very satisfied with the v-bow solution for AKVA group, and after a well-executed delivery last time, the choice was not difficult when we were in the market for new feed rafts. We need feed rafts that are stable in the sea and that have flexible feeding solutions, and AKVA group has proven to be a safe supplier for several years. The new feed raft we have ordered now will be placed in our toughest location, and we look forward to getting it up and running,” said Roger Simonsen, general manager of Eidsfjord Sjøfarm, in a press release.
The other three rafts sold in the last month are of the AM5-Series type.
