Alsaker Group had an operating profit of EUR 61 million million in 2019. Turnover came in just over EUR 187 million, which gives it a 32.9 per cent operating margin.

In a press release, the Alsaker Group in Norway, which is the parent company to Alsaker Fjordbruk, writes that in 2019 the company produced almost 38,000 tonnes of salmon, compared with 33,000 tonnes the year before.

“Production-wise, 2019 has been a medium-good year for the group, with progress in several parts of production. Both the volume of production and the harvest volume increased compared to 2018,” wrote the company.

Ceo Gerhard Meidell Alsaker told Bergens Tidende that he was not entirely satisfied with the result.

“But I am less dissatisfied than the year before. I guess a bit over medium satisfied,” he said.

In 2019, Alsaker operated four smolt plants, 23 salmon farm licences, a harvest plant and an aquaculture centre.
