The Nor-Fishing Foundation, organiser of the Aqua Nor trade fair, has entered a long-term partnership with Arctic Securities to develop the event’s professional programme, according to a statement released Monday.

The agreement runs through 2031 and follows an earlier collaboration during last year’s exhibition, where a joint finance-focused seminar attracted more than 300 participants and generated waiting lists.

Under the new arrangement, the parties plan to expand the seminar into a dedicated platform aimed at investors, policymakers and industry executives, with a focus on capital markets, global trends and long-term growth opportunities in aquaculture.

The move forms part of a broader effort by the Nor-Fishing Foundation to strengthen Aqua Nor’s role beyond a technology showcase. Earlier this year, the foundation signed a similar long-term agreement with law firm Wiersholm to support the event’s legal and regulatory programme.

Aqua Nor, held biennially in Trondheim, is one of the largest aquaculture trade fairs globally and serves as a key meeting point for suppliers, producers and service companies across the salmon value chain. The addition of structured finance and policy content reflects growing investor interest in the sector, particularly as companies face rising capital requirements linked to biological risk, regulation and new production technologies.

Arctic Securities said the partnership aligns with its strategy to deepen engagement with the seafood sector, where it is active in corporate finance and capital markets advisory.

The bank aims to develop the seminar into a forum that strengthens links between capital and industry, providing market insight and facilitating dialogue between financial and operational stakeholders.
