Aquaculture Stewardship Council names new UK market development manager

Jones spent nearly six years as the Fisheries and Aquaculture Manager at UK retailer, The Co-op.

Former Co-op Fisheries and Aquaculture Manager, Aisla Jones, has been appointed to the role of Market Development Manager UK & Ireland for the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

Prior to ASC, Jones was a Partnership Program Director at Sustainable Fisheries Partnership, focusing on responsible sourcing of aquaculture feed.

“I’ll miss the team at Sustainable Fisheries Partnership but am excited to be staying in seafood and joining Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) in October,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

Jones has built a career focusing on sustainable aquaculture and seafood sourcing. She spent nearly six years as the Fisheries and Aquaculture Manager at The Co-op, where she was pivotal in developing and maintaining responsible sourcing policies.

Jones was recognized as a 2021 Nuffield Farming Scholar, an honour she continues to hold. Earlier, she worked as a Seafood Sustainability Officer at WWF-UK, focusing on corporate partnerships, supply chain analysis, and sustainability communications.
