Land-based salmon farmer Atlantic Sapphire harvested 1,183 metric tonnes gutted weight (HOG) in the fourth quarter of 2025, down from 1,427 tonnes in the previous quarter, according to a trading update published on Thursday. For the full year 2025, total harvest volume reached 5,096 tonnes HOG.
Net biomass gain in the quarter was 1,683 tonnes live weight (RLW), broadly in line with the 1,741 tonnes reported in the third quarter. Standing biomass at the end of December increased to 3,437 tonnes RLW, compared with 3,215 tonnes at the end of September.
Average harvest weight declined to 2.9 kg HOG in the quarter, from 3.1 kg in Q3. The achieved sales price also fell quarter on quarter, to USD 8.28 per kg HOG, compared with USD 8.58 per kg in the previous quarter.
Atlantic Sapphire operates a land-based salmon facility in Homestead, Florida, south of Miami. Its Phase 1 facility is currently in operation, with annual harvest capacity of approximately 7,500 to 8,500 tonnes HOG. The company completed its first commercial harvest in the United States in September 2020.
The group is developing a Phase 2 expansion at the Florida site, which is intended to lift total annual capacity to 25,000 tonnes. Atlantic Sapphire has previously stated a long-term ambition to exceed 100,000 tonnes of annual harvest volume once fully built out.
