Benchmark Genetics has appointed Bruno Decock as Global Commercial Director, Genetics Services, effective 1 March.
Decock will be responsible for the commercial development of the company’s genetics services portfolio, including breeding, genomics and analytical services. He will continue in a transition period as Head of Benchmark Genetics Shrimp.
He will be based in Asia, a key region for the company, and will work with customers and partners globally.
“Bruno has solid industry experience and a broad international network,” said Morten Rye, Director of Genetics Services and Global Strategy.
Decock has more than 25 years of experience in aquaculture, including shrimp breeding, hatchery operations and international business development. He has been with Benchmark Genetics since 2017.
Benchmark Genetics provides genetic solutions to the aquaculture industry, including breeding programmes for Atlantic salmon, and operates across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
