Feed producer BioMar has secured Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Feed Certification for its Sagun facility in Turkey, expanding its network of certified feed production sites.
The certification allows the facility to supply feed that meets ASC requirements for seafood producers seeking or maintaining ASC certification.
BioMar said the addition strengthens its ability to serve producers in Turkey and export markets where demand for certified seafood products continues to grow.
The Sagun plant joins BioMar facilities in Chile, Ecuador, Spain, Costa Rica, Norway, Denmark, France and the United Kingdom that have already achieved ASC Feed Certification.
The ASC Feed Standard covers areas including responsible sourcing, environmental performance, labour rights and traceability throughout the feed supply chain.
