Norwegian waste management solution supplier Bioretur has announced the appointment of Johan Haldorsen as the company’s new Technical Chief, effective January 1, 2024.

Haldorsen, with a proven track record in the aquaculture industry, is set to bolster Bioretur’s commitment to sustainable treatment of fish sludge for land-based aquaculture.

Formerly the Technical Head at Rensefiskgruppen, Haldorsen’s experience spans project management, technical leadership, and construction planning. His career includes time at Aker Geo, Wavefield Inseis, CGG, and Dolphin Geophysical, where he handled a variety of roles encompassing offshore operations, onshore technical support, and health and safety management.

CEO Steinar Wasmuth expressed confidence in Haldorsen’s appointment, citing his deep technical insight and broad industry knowledge. “Johan’s expertise becomes crucial as we embark on our ambitious projects slated for 2024 and 2025,” Wasmuth said.

Educated as a machinist with a background in maritime studies, Haldorsen’s appointment is expected to strengthen Bioretur’s position as a leading entity in the sustainable treatment of aquaculture byproducts.
