Incident occurred just as the water level began to lower, causing the ship to overturn while docking.
On Monday, a boat, with workers from a salmon farm on board, heeled and sank while landing on Caguach Island in Chile’s Los Lagos region. Despite the potentially deadly nature of the incident, the 13 occupants of the vessel were unharmed, reported local radio station, BiobĂo.
The emergency situation occurred at about 5 in the morning. The vessel, the Doña Marta Cab 5096 Speedboat, remained semi-submerged for four hours, until around 9 in the morning.

According to a statement from the port captain of Achao, Denis Gallardo, the accident occurred just as the water level began to lower, causing the ship to overturn while docking on a ramp to allow the salmon workers to disembark.
The officer added that the workers had enough time to disembark before the boat destabilised and partially sank next to the ramp.
