Cermaq US appoints former Mowi exec as Director for Strategy and Special Projects

Mitsubishi-backed salmon producer Cermaq has appointed Andreas Vlahos as Director for Strategy and Special Projects at its US division.

Vlahos announced his new role on LinkedIn, expressing his excitement about joining Cermaq US.

Vlahos brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as Chief Executive Officer at Gulfstream Perishable Group from March 2023 to May 2024.

Prior to that, he spent over a decade with Mowi ASA in various roles, including Director of Logistics & Strategic Projects for the Americas.

Cermaq, has also appointed Joachim Wessel as the new Managing Director for its Chilean division, effective June 1. Wessel, who currently serves as the commercial and supply chain director at Cermaq, joined the company in 2020 and previously worked for Mowi.
