Dutch seafood company expands presence in Asia

Dutch seafood company Visscher Seafood Group has announced the establishment of a new sales office in Asia to expand its market for value-added salmon products.

Rutger Pasman, newly appointed as Director of Business Development, will lead the initiative.

Prior to joining Visscher, Pasman served as Business Development Manager at Avi Air, a position he has held since September 2021. He also hold two master’s degrees from VU Amsterdam.

Pasman expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to develop VAP sales to Asia within this impactful organization. I’m very much looking forward to facilitating our customers in this region together with the team.”

Joining him, Yumei Xie will serve as sales representative in China. Xie holds a bachelor’s degree from The Hague University and has significant experience in exporting perishables from Europe to China.

The expansion is part of Visscher Seafood Group’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Asian market.
