Norwegian salmon farming group Eide Seafood has announced the appointment of Kjersti Haugen as the day-to-day manager and sales director, effective from November.

Haugen, a seasoned professional in the seafood industry since 1987, brings a wealth of experience to the role. She has previously held positions at Lerøy and Seaborn. Her most recent role was as the floor director at Arnalax in Iceland, where she served for two and a half years.

In a statement, Haugen expressed her enthusiasm for the new role and her eagerness to contribute to promoting Norwegian salmon and trout.

“The industry has had a rapid development since I started in 1987,” she said. “We see that the market is changing strongly, and the customers and consumers of the future will demand more from the food industry.”
