Gilpin Bradley, the former Managing Director of Wester Ross, has joined Mowi Scotland as the company’s newly appointed Business Development Director of Farming.
Bradley revealed the move in an update on his LinkedIn profile. It comes after Mowi Scotland purchased a controlling stake in Wester Ross.
In a post on the UK Companies House website, it was revealed that Mowi Scotland now owns a more than 75% stake in Wester Ross, with Gilpin Bradley having “ceased to be a person with significant control.”
Alongside his experience at Wester Ross, Bradley chaired Salmon Scotland (then known as the Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation) between 2017 and 2019.
Wester Ross Fisheries, and its subsidiary Wester Ross Salmon, are based in the north-west of the Highlands, on the west coast of Scotland. Mowi Scotland also has its value chain there. Founded in 1977 by Robin Bradley and Alan Mann, Wester Ross was the oldest independent, owner-operated salmon farm in Scotland. The company has three sea sites in Loch Kannaird, Loch Broom and Little Loch Broom, as well as a processing plant and sales and administration office in Dingwall.
