New managing director for FiiZK group to start in April.

Jan Erik Kvingedal, 46, has been appointed the new CEO of equipment supplier FiiZK group, effective from April 2, 2024.

Previously working at ScaleAQ, Kvingedal’s appointment aims to enhance FiiZK’s position in the aquaculture industry. Kvingedal also worked for several years at MOWI as well as at Norwegian investment group BEWI. FiiZK, known for closed cages, software products, and technical textiles, has a history of delivering closed aquaculture systems.

Kvingedal’s experience includes positions at Mowi and as production director at BEWI. FiiZK, where Kvingedal will lead, is 40% owned by both BEWI Invest and Nekkar. The company focuses on sustainable aquaculture technology and solutions.

“FiiZK has delivered 20 closed cages and has operational experience from more than 60 product cycles that have been carried out without lice treatment and good biological results. Jan Erik brings extensive industry expertise and will be an important contributor to further developing the company, said FiiZK Chairman Ole Falk Hansen.
