Fished Expands Team with New Managing Director, Technical Director, and Developer

Software company Fished has announced the appointment of three new team members as part of its 2024 expansion, bringing the total number of hires this year to five.

Kristian Hoff has been named the new Managing Director, with James McRedmond joining as Technical Director and Ole Marius Andersen as a Developer.

“Fished has recently landed large and important customers, and we need to grow the business. Fortunately, we didn’t have to go far to find the right people, since we already had them in house at Oxidane,” said chairman of Fished and partner in Oxidane, Steffen Pauschert in a press release.

Hoff, hailing from Ålesund, has a background as a manager and software architect, with previous roles at Solar Norge and Semine before his time at Oxidane.

“I actually thought I had found “home” in Oxidane, but the temptation became too great when this opportunity presented itself. Fished has the potential to streamline and improve the way seafood is traded around the world, and I would like to be part of that,” said Hoff.

Joining Hoff from Oxidane, McRedmond specializes in artificial intelligence and computer science and holds a PhD in mathematics. He previously held a position as AI manager at Semine, where he collaborated with Hoff. Andersen, also from Ålesund, has transitioned from a development role at Oxidane and has prior experience in production with the Hofseth group before his IT studies.

Oxidane remains the largest shareholder in Fished, alongside other co-owners including celebrity chef Trond Moi, fish trading company Reinhartsen, and investment company Gumpen Invest.
