Bradbury first joined the company in 1999.

Nick Bradbury, the former Commercial Manager of BioMar UK, died September 6, the company announced in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.

Among a number of tributes posted on the social media platform, former Mowi Ireland chief executive Jan Feenstra wrote, “Nick was the ultimate gentleman whom we trusted and depended on for insights in feed and raw material supplies.”

Bradbury, who 64 years old, served BioMar since joining in October 1999, and retired in April 2021.

Bradbury was an influential figure in the Scottish aquaculture industry.

In 2022, he was nominated by BioMar and Scottish Sea Farms for the Unsung Hero Award in the 2022 Aquaculture Awards.

“[Nick’s] insight into feed raw materials and their relative attributes has shaped the evolution of diets into something producers could only have dreamt of 10 years ago,” Scottish Sea Farms exec Rory Conn wrote at the time.

He is survived by his wife Dee, and sons Magnus and Fergus.
