Trond Rismo appointed commercial director at Andfjord Salmon.
Andfjord Salmon has appointed Trond Rismo as its new commercial director. He will take up the role in August 2025.
Rismo joins the land-based salmon producer after three years as the Norwegian Seafood Council’s country director in Portugal, where he led the Council’s strategic initiatives in the market. He previously held several senior roles at Norway Seafoods and served as business manager for Hammerfest municipality. Rismo is a graduate of the Norwegian College of Fishery Science.
In his new role, Rismo will be responsible for sales, marketing, logistics, and the development of Andfjord Salmon’s go-to-market strategy, with an initial focus on B2B markets.
Andfjord Salmon delivered its first generation of salmon to market in summer 2023 and is currently in a new construction phase ahead of introducing the next generation into its land-based pools. The company, located on Andøya in northern Norway, has positioned itself as a sustainable producer using a hybrid flow-through system that integrates elements of both land- and sea-based farming.
CEO Martin Rasmussen said Rismo’s experience across seafood production and international markets would be a “great strength” for the company as it scales.
