Argyll-based business takes over the site of former Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary near Oban, Scotland.
Oban business Gael Force Fusion is aiming to move into the former sanctuary and visitor attraction site, it wrote in a press release. A Planning Application is being prepared for Change of Use and will be submitted to Argyll and Bute Council in the near future.
The aquaculture equipment manufacturer will move from its current location at Barcaldine, leased from Scottish Sea Farms.
The new premises will enable Gael Force Fusion to continue with its plans to invest in innovative fish farm pen systems, research and development, technical design and manufacturing, the company wrote.
Opened in 1979, the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary rescued and provided professional treatment for sick, injured or distressed marine animals who are found around local shores. It closed its doors last October, blaming a drop in visitors to the venue.
