Grieg Seafood names new marketing manager for North America

Grieg Seafood has named Linda Purkiss as the new marketing manager for North America.

Purkiss, a 20-year veteran in seafood marketing, will be based in Los Angeles. She will be responsible for the Skuna Bay brand and other branded and value-added products in the North American market, said the company.

“We are excited to have Purkiss join our team and provide us with a marketing direction as we develop our downstream strategy, which is based on strategic partnerships, value-added processing, category development, and brand cultivation,” said Ken Taylor, managing director for Grieg Seafood Sales North America.

Before joining Grieg Seafood, Purkiss was the marketing director with the Los Angeles-based H & N Group, where she helped define the company’s marketing initiatives. She also held marketing and sales positions at Multiexport for two years, and at Mowi/Marine Harvest for 13 years.

“I have followed Grieg Seafood and the Skuna Bay brand for many years. I look forward to working with the sales and marketing team continuing the development in the North American market. Grieg Seafood’s care for the people and the environment aligns with my passion for seafood and why I am so excited to join the team,” said Purkiss.
