Grieg Seafood has appointed Piotr Wingaard as chief commercial officer, effective immediately, succeeding Erik Holvik.

Wingaard has worked in the seafood industry for more than 16 years and joined Grieg Seafood at the outset of its sales organization in 2020. He most recently served as business controller and development director, a role that included project responsibility for developing Oslo Salmon Processing at Gardermoen.

According to the company, Wingaard will lead the commercial team to strengthen Grieg Seafood’s market position, build on relationships with customers and partners, and contribute to its ambitions for sustainable and profitable growth.

“I truly look forward to continuing this journey together with Piotr in this important role. His experience, competence and deep understanding of Grieg Seafood will be important drivers of our success in the years ahead,” said CEO Nina Willumsen Grieg.

“I’m honored to be given the opportunity to lead our sales organization moving forward. A lot of good work has been put in over the years and I look forward to continuing to develop our market position and our partnerships together with great colleagues,” said Wingaard.

Holvik has resigned from his position and will start at Salmar after some time. “Erik has been central to the development of Grieg Seafood’s sales department over the past 5 years, and we wish him all the best in the future,” said Willumsen Grieg.
