The Norwegian Food Safety Authority has reported a suspected case of Infectious Salmon Anemia (ILA) at locality 33737 Olausskjæret in Frøya, Trøndelag county.

The site is operated by SalMar Oppdrett, and the fish are owned by Refsnes Laks. This is the fourth recent ISA incident in the area.

SalMar Oppdrett notified authorities on 14 June after PCR analysis indicated possible ISA. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority will inspect the site and collect samples for confirmation. Restrictions, including a ban on moving fish, have been imposed to limit infection spread. If confirmed, the site may need to be emptied, and a restriction zone established.
