Norwegian technology companies expand into North America.

A new business network, NACA (Norwegian Aquaculture in America), is facilitating the entry of Norwegian land-based aquaculture technology into the North American market. The network includes five companies: MAT-KULING AS, Simona Stadpipe AS, Helland Silosystem AS, Silikal Nordvest AS, and Dynamic FishEye.

These companies cover the entire value chain for land-based aquaculture, from water treatment and pipe transport to feed logistics and monitoring, positioning the network to serve both existing fish farmers and new land-based aquaculture projects in North America.

The companies aim to collaborate in marketing, contracts, research and development projects, and expansion into new areas. The first joint initiative will be participation in the RasTech Conference and Exhibition in San Diego, California, during the first week of June.

“We will now leverage our combined expertise and experience to inform decision-makers among fish farmers and advisors through presentations, Lunch and Learn sessions, and company visits in Norway and abroad, where we can demonstrate 2025-level RAS technology as a secure method for farming, including food fish,” said Bjørn Dorum, Chairman and Owner of Mat-Kuling.

Supported by Innovation Norway, the three-year project aims to strengthen and solidify Norway’s position in land-based aquaculture technology. Expanding the export of aquaculture technology is a key objective of Norway’s government export strategy, and the NACA business network seeks to play a pivotal role in opening new markets for Norwegian technology.

The Companies in the NACA Business Network:
