Gigante Salmon completes first harvest and reports Q2 results.

Land-based salmon farmer Gigante Salmon has reported its first harvest from its facility at Lille Indre Rosøy in Rødøy, Norway, alongside its second quarter 2025 results.

The company harvested 694 tonnes HOG during the quarter from its winter 2024 generation, with an average weight of 3.8kg WFE. Superior share was reported at 91%. Feed conversion ratio was 1.1 and production cost NOK 70/kg HOG.

Two of the site’s three planned production basins are now in operation. The autumn 2024 generation has been sorted and transferred to basin B. The facility is expected to reach full annual capacity of around 16,000 tonnes HOG by 2028, with 2.2 million smolt planned for release in the second half of 2025.

Financing during the period included a NOK 50 million loan from Gigante Havbruk AS, with an additional facility of up to NOK 100 million to be established after the balance sheet date.

At the company’s annual general meeting on 21 May, the board of directors was re-elected.

Construction of the final basin remains underway as the company ramps up operations.
