Laxey reports first year of grow-out operations and initial harvest.

Icelandic salmon farmer Laxey has completed its first full year of grow-out operations, marking just over 12 months since the company transferred its initial batch of fish into sea-based production.

The company said biomass production has increased steadily over the period, supported by the expansion of its grow-out team. Laxey began harvesting last month and described the process as stable and consistent, reflecting what it said was a reliable production cycle.

Laxey said its grow-out workforce combines international staff who have relocated to Vestmannaeyjar with local employees who see the company as a long-term employer. The production team is led by Rustan Lindqvist, Carl Terblanche and Viðar Örn Victorsson.

Alongside operational progress, Laxey said construction is continuing on Section 2 of its development, as well as a new post-smolt facility. Both projects are intended to support increased production capacity as the company scales its operations.
