Frank Yri appointed CEO of Seaborn

Norwegian salmon and trout exporter Seaborn has appointed Frank Yri as its new chief executive officer.

Yri previously served as commercial director, while Dag Aksnes, who has held the CEO role, will move to deputy CEO with responsibility for strategy, financial management and reporting.

Chairman Alex Vassbotten said the changes were designed to strengthen both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. “There is no drama in this, but rather an adjustment of tasks so that we have the capacity for efficient operations and strategic development,” he said.

Seaborn is Norway’s largest non-integrated exporter of salmon and trout, with annual turnover of NOK 10 billion ($1 billion) and customers in more than 60 countries. Yri said the company is targeting 50 percent growth over the next four years. “The ambition is 50 percent growth while maintaining local ownership in aquaculture. This move ensures capacity and execution power across all areas,” he said.
