Måsøval is set for a broader board reshuffle ahead of its annual general meeting next week, as the salmon farmer continues a strategic review that could lead to a sale of the company.

The company said Kari Skeidsvoll Moe and Roger Granheim intend to step down from the board. Chairman Lars Måsøval will also leave the board in connection with the planned departure of chief executive Helge Kvalvik on 30 June.

Måsøval previously said Lars Måsøval could become the company’s next CEO. The company said he would step down from the board to facilitate the board’s process relating to new management.

Major shareholder Heimstø, which controls around 70% of the shares in Måsøval, has proposed former SalMar CFO Trond Tuvstein as new chairman.

Heimstø has also proposed Synne Konstanse Måsøval as a new board member, while backing the re-election of Ola Loe, Nina Santi and deputy board member Martin Lein Staveli.

Tuvstein and Synne Konstanse Måsøval are both affiliated with Heimstø. The company said Tuvstein will step down from Heimstø’s board if elected chairman of Måsøval at the 4 June general meeting.

Heimstø has previously said it is conducting a strategic review of its ownership in Måsøval, which could ultimately result in a sale of the company.
