Lars Måsøval will take over as interim CEO of Måsøval AS from 1 July 2026, the Norwegian salmon producer said in an Oslo Børs disclosure.
He replaces Helge Kvalvik, who steps down on 30 June. Måsøval announced Kvalvik’s departure on 25 March.
Lars Måsøval previously led the company and has long experience in the seafood sector. He served as chairman before agreeing to return in an operational role during the transition.
“Lars Måsøval knows the organisation, operations and industry very well. The board considers that he will contribute to continuity and stability in a transition phase,” said Trond Tuvstein, chairman of Måsøval AS.
The board has started work to secure a permanent leadership solution. Lars Måsøval will hold the interim post until a permanent CEO or other arrangement is in place.
Måsøval is an integrated Atlantic salmon producer with more than 50 years of operating experience. The company operates in central Norway, west of Trondheim, and runs farming, smolt production, harvesting, processing and sales.
The board has not given a timeline for appointing a permanent chief executive.
