Mowi-backed producer appoints former Secretary to Minister

Nova Sea has announced the appointment of Daniel Bjarmann-Simonsen, 38, as its new Director of Communication and Public Affairs, effective January 2, 2025.

The company highlighted Bjarmann-Simonsen’s role in strengthening its strategic efforts in communication and industry policy.

“We are very pleased to have Daniel on board and look forward to further strengthening our team. He will be a key resource for us, especially in our strategic work on communication and industry policy,” said Nova Sea CEO Tom Eirik Aasjord.

Bjarmann-Simonsen, currently the Director of Society and Business for Bodø Municipality, has previously served as regional director of NHO Nordland and State Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Fisheries. He expressed enthusiasm for joining Nova Sea, citing the company’s leadership in sustainability and its role in building coastal communities.

In his new position, Bjarmann-Simonsen will serve as the company’s liaison with authorities, overseeing internal and external communications and leading the company’s efforts in industry policy advocacy.
