The high capacity system will be capable of processing up to 150 salmon per minute.

Mowi-backed salmon farmer Nova Sea has chosen German equipment manufacturer Baader as the primary supplier for its state-of-the-art salmon factory located in Lovund.

At the heart of the facility is a high-capacity flue system, capable of processing up to 150 salmon per minute. This system includes cutting-edge technology, including the world’s fastest whole fish grading and advanced filleting lines.

Automation takes center stage, with a strong focus on minimizing human contact and enhancing production control.

The project introduces the BAADER 102, an innovative anesthetic and bleeding system, representing a significant industry milestone.

Furthermore, advanced data monitoring, encompassing data and image capture with database storage, is implemented to guarantee food safety, enhance productivity, and extend shelf life.

Nova Sea’s CEO, Tom Eirik Aasjord, underscored the company’s dedication to responsible salmon production, stating, “Our primary focus is on producing Nova Sea salmon with care and responsibility. This commitment has set demanding criteria for our new factory. We are delighted to announce our partnership with Baader, a company renowned for its comprehensive solutions that enhance value, safety, and efficiency.”
