The World’s largest producer of farmed Atlantic salmon, Mowi has scheduled an Extraordinary General Meeting for November 19, 2024.

The meeting is planned to address corporate governance changes, including the election of a new board chair.

On the agenda is the proposal for Ørjan Svanevik to replace outgoing Chair Ole-Eirik Lerøy, following Lerøy’s 15-year tenure with Mowi.

If approved, the board will consist of Svanevik as Chair, alongside Kristian Melhuus as Deputy Chair, with members Kathrine Fredriksen, Peder Strand, Lisbet Karin Nærø, Kjersti Hobøl, and Leif Teksum.

The Nomination Committee has reviewed the board’s structure, noting that while most board members are considered independent, Svanevik, Fredriksen, and Strand are affiliated with Geveran Trading Co. Ltd., a major shareholder in Mowi.

Shareholders may participate via online voting, submit proxies, or vote in advance. Full meeting instructions and the Nomination Committee’s recommendation are available on Mowi’s website.
