Josefina Lyon Fuentes joins Chilean salmon farmer to help it increase salmon consumption in different markets worldwide.
In a press release, Multiexport writes that it has appointed Fuentes to the role to oversee the smoking business, as well as the development and commercialisation of value-added products.
CEO Andrés Lyon stressed that “VAP management has a key role in positioning Multiexport Foods as a leading company in the different export markets and, in that sense, We believe that with the entrance of Josefina, we will be able to expand the reach to different countries with our smoked and value-added products in general, as well as to promote the creation of new and innovative products according to food trends worldwide ”
Lyon added that she sees “great potential for the export of value-added products”. “We are convinced that the development of the industry, and particularly of our company, will be linked to this type of products that have growing demand,” she added.
Multiexport Foods said it was Chile’s main exporter of smoked salmon in Chile, sending 69% of total market share to international markets.
