Nutreco names Maarten Bijl as new Skretting CEO.
Nutreco has appointed Maarten Bijl as chief executive of Skretting, effective 1 September 2025.
Bijl will replace Bastiaan van Tilburg, who is set to succeed David Blakemore as Nutreco CEO.
Bijl has spent 16 years across SHV companies in strategy, commercial and general management roles. Since June 2024 he has served as Nutreco’s first chief digital officer, after three years as managing director of Trouw Nutrition North America.
“Having spent over a decade in regional general manager roles in different continents, and the last 4.5 years at Nutreco, I’ve had opportunity to get to know the Skretting team and business and I’m impressed by what I see,” Bijl said. “The relevance of aquaculture in the food chain and in our global challenge of feeding the future should not be underestimated.”
Nutreco said an announcement on Bijl’s successor will follow. In the interim he will hold dual roles.
Nutreco, part of SHV N.V., reported net revenues of €7.9 billion in 2024.
