Norwegian recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) equipment supplier, Artec Aqua, a subsidiary of supplier of products and services Endúr, has landed a significant contract worth around NOK 70 million ($6.5 million) from Eide Smolt on March 21, 2024.

This deal also includes an option for an additional NOK 38 million ($3.5 million), subject to Eide Smolt’s discretion.

The contract involves renovating a smolt facility in Sundal/Mauranger, with Artec Aqua handling the engineering, construction, and commissioning using its Hybrid SystemTM technology. Engineering work has already begun, and construction is set to start in early Q2 2024, lasting around nine months.

Ingegjerd Eidsvik, CEO of Artec Aqua, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and hopes for a long-term relationship with Eide Smolt.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to deliver this facility to Eide Smolt. As this is our first contract with Eide Smolt, we are hopeful that this project marks the beginning of a long-term relationship”, said Eidsvik.
