Remora Robotics, a Norwegian technology company specializing in autonomous net cleaning robots for aquaculture, has raised NOK 80 million ($7.5 million) in a new funding round.
The investment includes contributions from Frøy Kapital, as well as existing investors Grieg Kapital, Momentum, and Singularity.
Frøy Kapital, which focuses on supporting profitable businesses and job creation along the Norwegian coast, sees potential in Remora’s innovative robotics technology for net cleaning in fish farming. The company’s autonomous cleaning robots aim to improve operational efficiency and fish health while promoting sustainability.
Svein Erik Gregersen, CEO of Remora Robotics, highlighted Frøy Kapital’s industry expertise, calling their involvement a significant milestone for the company as it moves into its next phase of growth.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Stavanger, Remora Robotics plans to use the investment to scale its operations both in Norway and internationally.
