The fish farming company has announced it will convene an extraordinary general meeting on 3 August 2022.
“The only item on the agenda is board elections,” Atlantic Sapphire said in a statement.
“In accordance with the recommendation from the nomination committee, it has been proposed that Kenneth Andersen, CEO of Strawberry Equities, be elected as a member of the board. Runar Vatne has indicated that he is ready to resign from the board to make a board seat available for Andersen”.
Vatne’s plans to resign from his Atlantic Sapphire board position comes after it was reported that he was stopped by police in Easter, who discovered he had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and was driving without a valid driver’s license.
