SalMar launches app in bid to dispel aquaculture myths

Norwegian salmon producing giant SalMar has announced the development of a new app designed to educate the public about the aquaculture industry and to promote the company’s values.

The app, named ‘SalMar – Myths & Facts,’ aims to provide comprehensive insights into the industry while clarifying common misconceptions.

Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Runar Sivertsen, Chief Strategy Officer at SalMar, highlighted the company’s commitment to transparency and education.

“There are many myths surrounding aquaculture. SalMar aims to illuminate facts and the values we stand for,” Sivertsen wrote.

The free to download ‘Myths & Facts’ app offers users detailed information on various aspects of aquaculture, addressing both the benefits and challenges of the industry.

The app is available for download from both Apple and Android.
