Roar Myhre has been appointed chief financial officer of Salmax Research, effective July 1.
Myhre joins the company from Emilsen Gruppen, where he served as finance manager. He has more than 25 years of experience across finance, banking and management, including previous roles at aquaculture companies NTS and Sinkaberg.
Salmax Research develops analytical and decision-support tools designed to identify fish disease at an earlier stage. The company said it is currently commercialising its analysis platform and rolling out additional products and services.
Chairman Odd Strøm said Myhre would bring financial expertise, industry understanding and a strong network as the company enters its next growth phase.
The company’s investors include Aino SS and SS-Invest AS, which helped finance the development of a new analysis laboratory in Kolvereid, central Norway.
