Salmon Living Lab has appointed Henrik Trengereid as project portfolio manager with responsibility for new research and innovation initiatives.
Trengereid joins from Mowi, where he was group lead for sea production technology. He started in the new role on 3 November 2025.
Salmon Living Lab said the position will ensure projects address biological challenges and deliver solutions that can be adopted across the aquaculture sector. CEO Kristine Hartmann said Trengereid combines production experience with technology development and research focus, alongside a strong commitment to fish welfare.
Salmon Living Lab is an industry initiative aimed at increasing knowledge of Atlantic salmon to improve biological performance and welfare, and has announced recent partnership agreements with institutions including the Norwegian Veterinary Institute and Nofima.
