“Being selected by Norcod shows that a wide expertise in all areas of aquaculture and near complete product portfolio is something that is in demand in the market.”
ScaleAQ is a newly-created, globally focused, Norwegian-based company that bring expertise and innovation to onshore and sea-based aquaculture. The company is a result of the merger between Steinsvik, Aqualine, AquaOptima, and Moen Marin. Combined the company has experience in the aquaculture industry in more than 40 countries via its 900 employees across 27 offices.
Norcod is aiming to become a world-leading producer of farmed cod and follow the highest sustainability standards.
“Norcod will be stocking the first pens on the northern side of Frøya in spring 2020. There is an increase in the demand for fresh cod, while at the same time the wild fish population is under pressure and quotas for catching wild cod are dramatically reduced. This makes it possible for us to produce high quality cod in a sustainable way,” says Tsjipke Deuzeman in Norcod.
“ScaleAQ’s local presence and expertise have been crucial for our choice of supplier.”
